Here’s a sneak preview of Audiobus 2, with developer Sebastian Dittmann, at the 2014 NAMM Show.
Audiobus 2 will be capable of running as many apps in parallel or in series as your device can handle – multiple, independent pipelines with as many inputs, filters or outputs as you like in each.

Glad they’ve added all this connectivity. I don’t mind the absence of the “virtual patch cable” paradigm. This is a big step forward.
Perhaps in future versions, we will see inserts and level/pan/balance elements (within AudioBus). Perhaps even MIDI control could help regulate those streams.
hmmmm, new name, new store download, then new purchase?
He mentioned the multiple routing thing would be via IAP, so perhaps not?
Free update for the UI overhaul, IAP for the routing stuff.
Fair enough. Developers gotta eat. The routing work looks like a substantial effort – I don’t mind paying for a worthwhile major functional enhancement.
I want see how many synths(the big ones) the newest iPad can juggle.
…actually, I need to see it soon!
