i’m a chiptune fanatic so i simply had to test this plugin 🙂
nice, easy to use, good quality, bugfree (at least i didn’t find anything during testride). recommended for chiptune lovers but also good for anybody in need of simple waveforms.
my testtune, done in ~1 hour with renoise and 8 instances of retroboy:

They’re using that tune as one of the demos on their site. It’s nice for something really, really simple that’s lacking even the most basic step sequencer which is so necessary to true chiptune. Compare this with de la Mancha’s new BASIC 65. There’s no contest. Of course, if you don’t have an actual hardware chiptune synth, you’re not really making chiptune. Any more than a Motif is a symphony orchestra.
