In this video, developer Christopher Rice (Echo Pad, Stereo Designer) demos the new STATE SAVING feature in Audiobus 2.
AudioBus 2 is currently in development and being tested with a limited number of applications, including:
A release date for AudioBus 2 is to be announced.
Great stuff! I wonder if this will kill my iPad 2, though.
The Audiobus feature itself won’t (per the developer), but the ability to load more apps at once probably will.
It’s really no different than running a few apps on an iPad 2 with Audiobus 1. All that matters if the apps in question are hard on CPU and RAM.
It’s not the same at all. There are multiple channels of synths into effects, so you can run, for example, a drum machine through a distortion, a bassline through delay and a lead through something else. Plus there is preset loading which looks fantastic.
wonder if it is a brand new purchase and not a patch/version update.
It’s not. It’s an update to the existing Audiobus app.
yeah but there will be ‘in-app’ purchases for the advanced functions. WHEN?
Ok, all these amazing apps but where is the amazing music?
Shut up and take my money.
@Leon Trimble:
The in app purchase is going to be there for the multi-routing feature, not for state saving. State saving is free with the update.
