Producer Francis Prève let us know about something special his label, Academik Records, has planned for SXSW 2014, being held March 7-16.

Academik has a 12-hour event scheduled for Saturday, March 15, at Lanai Austin.

“The twelve-hour event runs from 2pm to 2am,” says Prève. “Traditionally, we reach capacity by late afternoon.”

“In addition to a fantastic artist lineup,” he adds, “We’ll be giving away two recording studio packages.”

• The first giveaway, at sunset, will be a Reason 7 full package with Livid Base controller.
• The second, at 11pm, will be a complete analog/digital studio including a Dave Smith Mopho Keyboard, Ableton Live, iZotope Iris, Ozone and Stutter Edit, Korg Volca Beats and a Bleeplabs Bleep Drum. Yep. One person wins all that.
