2014 Summer NAMM Show: Ploytec has released an updated firmware for their Pi L Squared synthesizer, adding retro vocal synthesis, based on the General Instruments SP0256-AL2 chip.
The audio demo above features sounds generated on the Ploytec PL2 PL02.56 firmware (including “synth beatbox” percussion). BD/SN/HH created using PL2 FW2.0. No effects, except for EQ, compression and a very very tiny bit of reverb.
For info on the Pi L Squared synth, see the Ploytec site.
Sounds good. Must have one!
Could be a nice little thing to play around with 🙂
Pretty cool for $99!
