Realitone has just released the Version 1.2 update for their RealiWhistle virtual instrument for Native Instruments’ Kontakt.
The update includes a new “Mix” slider, which allows the user to adjust the tone from a pure normal whistle to the full airy whistle. The video, above, demonstrates the updated whistle tones.
Pricing and Availability. This update is free for existing RealiWhistle customers, and through the end of the month, new customers can get the virtual instrument at a discounted price of $29. Starting September 1, RealiWhistle will be available for $39.
System Requirements: RealiWhistle requires the full version of Kontakt 4 or Kontakt 5.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for something like this for years!
You know how to whistle, right? You just put your lips together and blow. A convo reverb may help.
Not bad but still far from the real thing

The “airy” samples seemed a bit truncated on the fronts, not helping the realism much. I guess the tricky thing is that if you want them to be responsive, you can’t have them ramping in. I imagine it is deceptively difficult to get good whistling samples– what with blowing on the mic and all.
steam pipe already does a great job, the user library has a lot to offer in this department as well.
For those who don’t know, Steam Pipe is one of many fantastic synths that come with (or can be downloaded) for Native Instruments fun-factory called Reaktor.
Combining a breath controller with Steam Pipe and you are getting serious work done.
is this for Reali?
Ohhh
What next… Kontact kazoo VST?
