Sunday Synth Jam: Here’s another synth-filled video song, via Ace Waters of Motive Makes a Man, a cover of Overworld (Zelda: Link’s Awakening).
Here’s what Waters has to say about the performance:
Here it is! The second Zelda Month song! I wanted to do something from Link’s Awakening, and I also wanted to include the classic theme everyone thinks of when they think ZELDA! So, I decided to do one of the coolest overworld songs in the franchise, the overworld from Link’s Awakening.
I have always preferred the top down zelda games, and I always loved the way this song made subtle changes to the classic theme. I hope you enjoy it!
Technical Details:
- DSI Tempest (Drums)
- DSI Prophet 08 (Counter-Melody)
- Arturia Microbrute (Melody)
- Moog Little Phatty (Bass)
- 12 String Guitar
- Kurzweil PC3X (Organ)
nice one!
That was fuggen awesome. Good job.
Supporting this guy, he’s great.
Spends a ballsack of dollars on audio equipment & synths. Still don’t sound better than an $100 NES from ’83. Sry guys, pretty cool but meh!
you can have all the sound generation toys in the world..but it won’t teach you how to mix them down.
i don’t say that as a diss. but it’s an important critical point around “gear acquisition syndrome”. more power to this guy(or anyone) having fun with his kit but if you are gonna bring something to the public maybe try to learn how to get the best sonic presentation of each piece of your special gear.
great playing though.
