This video, via , captures a hands-on demo of the Bastl Instruments modular synthesizer.

  4. Tea Kick (5hp) – more than just a bass drum, 90 eur
  5. Noise Square (5HP) – noise and square source, 90 eur
  6. Skis (5HP) – dual decay + vca, 90 eur
  7. Little Nerd (6HP) – trigger / gate processor, 123 eur

  1. Just fantastic. When you think you’ve heard every sound possible from a modular, here comes an original palette. The cure for what ails you, at a nice price, and beautiful to boot. (Danger: visit their website and lose your mind.) I wish them all the success!

  2. The combination of electric power and wood is worrying me….it kind of reminds me of the time when powerful computers were equipped with water cooling systems. Nobody uses them anymore…

    1. I don’t really understand what you’re getting at here? The wood is far less conductive than the aluminium panels you find on most eurosynths, so if you’re worried about electrocution wood is a good choice of material.
