Sunday Synth Jam: This video, via Geert Bevin, captures a what he calls ‘a late night venture into electro’, aka ElectroLinn.
One notable aspect of Bevin’s performance is his use of independent glissandi, often gliding in opposite directions, and per-finger control of the timbre of the synth patch. This would be difficult to do on a typical synth keyboard, since the pitch and mod wheels affect all notes.
Technical details:
Bevin is using the LinnStrument with U-he Bazille’s per-note expression and Logic Pro X’s Drummer. Everything is played in one take without editing and using a single synth patch.
