At the 2015 Summer NAMM Show, Roland was previewing their new System 500 Eurorack synth modules.
The Roland System-500 is a new, fully-analog Eurorack modular synthesizer line, based on the SYSTEM-700 and SYSTEM-100m.
In the video below, Roland’s Peter Brown demos the new modules and gives us an update on when they should be available:
The line is currently still in development, so there’s not much info available yet at the Roland site. Expect more information to be available this fall.
Video: “Sponsored by Yamaha”… muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha….
Yamaha reface the grim truth my friend!!!!!
Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Might explain why it sounds really crap and can’t see what’s going on at all. Too shy with the camera!
Price?
How am I supposed to buy this when it doesn’t have mini keys?
I must stay focused on my destination for Atlantis (Intellijel’s) and not be distracted by these modules but it’s hard not to be!!
These look good and sound good, a return to classic form for Roland.
Roland got pushback when they introduced the Airas, but it’s turning into one of the most interesting lines around.
Great job Malekko!
Looks really nice. I love the roland/edirol mini-faders, especially for the envelope controls. Any rumors on a price point for these?
Roland by Malekko,
what does that mean really?
Malekko’s building them (in Oregon), working for Roland. I’m probably missing the subtext of yr question. What do you mean, what does that mean?
Speaking of that, it seems strange that Roland gear will be built in the US. Is that a first?
