Rebel Technology shared this video demo of the new OWL programmable Eurorack module.
The OWL Modular is a fully programmable digital audio device. With an ARM Cortex M4 processor and plenty of memory, it can be used more than 70 different ways, including as a phaser, flanger, delay, reverb and more.
The video shows a few of the OWL’s factory patches. It also covers how to change between the 40 patches that come pre-loaded and how to load new patches from the website.
Patches used in this video:
- Phaser
- Vibro-Flange
- Guitarix/BigMuffFuzz
- Ping Pong Delay
- Lotka-Volterra Oscillator
- Super Saw Oscillator (for the synth voice)
- Plate Reverb (for the snare hits)
The OWL Modular is available now for £319. See the Rebel Technology site for details.
A complete DSP solution? Three or four of these in a row could be an entire synthesis system of nearly anything you might want, if it does all that is claimed.
Should be able to put a whole polyphonic synth on just one of ’em if one had the mind to do so – it uses almost exactly the same cortex M4 as the LXR.
starts off small , but keeps growing … reprogrammable is here to stay
This is great. I’m all for more open source and open hardware.
