Wow, great effect, but I don’t understand how it increases the sound quality from digital to vinyl?
Where does it say that it increases the sound quality.
These sorts of effects are for adding analog warmth, if you will, to digital.
I used to have a freebie from iZotope that was called simply “Vinyl”. it worked really well, but was crippled on my rig at some point, then I just gave up on it.
In my DAW (DP8), I can recreate most of what is offered in this plugin (along with a nice long sample of record crackles, some pink noise, and some ground hum).
What this effect seems to offer above all is a nice price for an integrated panel for all those effects. And, most importantly, a way to save the whole rig as one preset. (I can do that in DP with a whole rack of plugins, but it would get pretty hairy). The dust density is a nice touch. And you can’t argue with $55 if you use this kind of effect often.
