Digital Music Technology has released Votan Telepathy v2.0 – a majorupdate to their software synth for iPad, iPhone and OS X.
Votan Telepathy has a subtractive synthesis engine, containing quad arrays (4x) of Oscillators, Filters, LFO’s, Envelopes, and FX Blocks. These sound shaping modules are built around an 8 Slot Modulation Matrix, which routes the modulators to any Telepathy Synth or FX parameter destination.
Cloud-based communication lets you share sounds wirelessly across iOS devices and OS X. It also lets you use the iOS app as a low-latency touch controller for the synth in your DAW.
Here’s what’s new in Votan Telepathy 2:
- Hyper Oscillators
- Noise Oscillators
- Extra Filter Types
- Refined Modulation Matrix now with 8 slots, new destinations to all synth/fx parameters.
- New FX Types – FrequencyShifter, Reverb, Flange, Destroy, Buffer Glitch
- New Delay Types
- New Perform Assign
- iPhone Version

Weird… when I looked last night I was sure it was £2.29. Went to buy it now and it’s £9.99.
I decided not to buy.
Did the price increase overnight?
Different prices for the iPhone and iPad versions. And maybe for the OS. X version, too.
It’s interesting but perhaps it’s just late and I’m not really “getting” the advantages / features that this offers.
