The Ciat-Lonbarde Tocante Karper is a unique instrument, created by Peter Blasser, that uses 24 pic chips in parallel to synthesize Karplus-Strong string emulations, in the Tocante scale.

I really love everything about this from physical design, to the timbre produced as well as the means of operation. Can it run on batteries? Does the sound come out of the body and/or through a 1/4″ cable?
That’s an etched fretboard, like a PC board. Inexpensive. I want one of these.
