Kahnco has introduced what they are calling ‘the first fully modular eurorack case system’:
The system is completely modular, so your case can grow with your modular synthesizer.
Here’s a collection of images of the Kahnco Modular Case System:
Here’s what Kahnco has to say about the new case system:
Modular synthesis has long been a platform for deep sonic exploration that is free from the restrictions of fixed architecture signal flow found in traditional synthesizers. It’s inherent freedom nurtures an environment of new ideas and innovation that continues to grow. The modular synthesizer market is populated by the most creative and innovative manufacturers in the musical instrument industry and the rapid evolution of new products has invigorated artistic experimentation from its patrons. This resource of creativity, from user and maker alike inspired the birth of Kahnco, the first fully modular eurorack case system.
The Kahnco modular case system allows you to design and assemble a case that suits your workflow and personal aesthetic. Building with HP segments ranging from 4HP to 34HP you can put together a case in any size, and can be added to at any time. You can start small and grow your system as you acquire new modules. You will never outgrow your investment in Kahnco.
Using the Knuckle Kits and Legs, you can build rows and angle them to a custom configuration of your design and when you want to try something new, go ahead and experiment with the same parts, the possibilities are unlimited.
The Kahnco system was designed and engineered by 50A Projects and manufactured by our sister company Ferra Designs Inc all proudly based in Brooklyn, NY. Follow us and keep an eye out for upcoming products on Instagram.
Kahnco is targeting March for availability. Pricing is TBA. See their site for more info.
Looks awesome. Hopefully available in Europe?
And if you could put a lid on it would be even better?
The usual price tag for an empty case -without the power supply- is so high . I hope Khanco will be cheaper.
The name is dangerously close to this:

Looks stellar!
As the price will look, too, I’m certain.
How very meta.
Soooo…modular modular?
It looks awesome, but I’m sure that price will be very high for machined aluminium (correct me if I’m wrong).
Once they’ve got the cost of the die out the way, the cost of production shouldn’t be terrible for the main case; won’t be cheap, but what eurorack stuff is?
Agreed, this looks extruded not machined from billet. This will bring the price way down, as well as the waste. This is beautiful, and it will not be cheap.
… i think the idea is great, even if i am not sure about the “feet”, this looks a bit fragile…
i could also imagine a similar system out of wood connected by magnets….
Yo dog we put a modular in your modular so you can modularize your modules!
