Developer Jan Ostman of DSP Synthesizers let us know about a new DIY project to build a string synth, inspired by 70’s style string synths, based on an Arduino.
Here’s a demo of his ‘JANO String Synthesizer’ in action:
“I hope I inspired you to hack some cool keyboards of your own,” says Ostman.
Instructions and the full source code for the project are available at Ostman’s site.
Cool Sinthesizer????
Awesome! I’d always choose a Teensy over an Arduino, though. They are so much better for audio applications.
I choose the Arduino for this one because it’s simple and a lot of people use it.
However I use ARM for many of my other projects.
Yep, people are more familiar with Arduino.
I like that you put this into an inexpensive MIDI keyboard. Very appealing.
Thanks for sharing the code. That’s very generous of you.
For the noobs! Yes we all have to learn.
