At the 2016 NAMM Show, Waldorf introduced their new Eurorack keyboard and modules.
In this video, Rolf Wöhrmann gives us an overview of the kb37 Controller Keyboard and three new modules:
- dvca1 Dual VCA module for Eurorack systems
- mod1 Modulator module for Eurorack systems
- cmp1 Compressor module for Eurorack systems
Details on pricing of the new Waldorf Eurorack keyboard & modules are to be announced. They are expected to be available in 2016 Q3. See the Waldorf site for more info.
I wonder how many module connectors it will have since they only are using 4
Hi
there are about 14 connectors on the board, cannot remember the exact number but in any case more than enough to put many small modules in. Power is with 1.5 A quite good to feed hungry modules.
Cheers
Rolf
Unless any of those modules are hungry for 5V, since this has only +/-12 V…..
We thought about having 5V as well, but since most new designs are going away from requiring 5V from the bus since it’s easily done directly on the PCB with a TL431 or similar for almost no cost.
But if you happen to have modules still requiring 5V just get a Doepfer 5V adaptor for about 15€ and put it in one of the 14 connectors. Done.
Cheers
Rolf
Polyphony????
lol
The kb37 with the euro-version of the Haible living VCOs and Serge filters from Random Source. And in time for Christmas 2016. Yes please!
Also, Rolf has hypnotizing eyes, I’d buy anything this man is selling.
I don’t own Eurorack but have always wanted to get into it. This product just might be what I’ve been waiting for. It’s fantastic!

Translation: It’s expensive and you probably can’t afford it.
It’s a bit like going to a restaurant and seeing no prices on the menu.
That’s why I don’t go to McDonalds anymore….the fucking boutique pricing.
