At Superbooth 16, Moog Music did not make any new gear introductions, but they had a major presence, bringing their ‘Moog Island’ synth experience.
The original Moog Island of Electronicus was an early 70’s happening, organized by Moog marketing guru David Van Koevering. It’s been described as ‘a mind-expanding series of psychedelic events held on an island off the coast of Florida’.
At the Superbooth Moog Island, the company had nearly their complete line of synthesizers on hand for anyone to try out, and they had 8 of their new Mother-32 Eurorack synths racked up as a wall-o-synth.
This video captures some impressions from the booth, and a short section of a larger Mother-32 improvisation by Mad Zach.
Pretty awesome modular improv by Mad Zach. I haven’t really seen someone do live modular that was interesting. Much better than hearing fart noises and bloops for 30 minutes straight…
nice track . but using 10 or 12 mother 32 synths … to produce something you can do on a couple of korg volcas (o_0) ?

that was badass!!!!
Big Knobs on the mother32’s???
Great video quality! (contrast, saturation, sharpness, aspect etc). What camera is used?
I will refrain from further comment, to each his own on the subjective nature of audio!
