Imimot Software has announced a major update to CoGe VJ – a modular Mac VJ app, designed for realtime HD video mixing and compositing, with support for audio parameter modulation and MIDI clock sync.

Version 1.7 brings major stability improvements and support for 64-bit rendering. The updates are detailed in a post at their site.

CoGe VJ is a semi-modular VJ software, which means you can build the environment that suits you the best, and you won’t be stuck with a pre-defined interface.

It has an Audio Analysis tool, that analyzes the incoming audio signal and creates assignable parameters, that can control parameters in the app. CoGe VJ also has MIDI Clock syncing possibilities, which can be used for beat-synced automations – LFOs, interpolations, etc.

It is also fully controllable via MIDI or OSC, and it can also send MIDI and OSC signals.

Here’s a video guide to getting started with CoGe VJ:

CoGe VJ is available for US $129. A free demo version is also available.

  1. Used it when I used to throw big dance parties in our 3-bay garage. Took a bit of thinking to figure it out but it was powerful.

  2. Just bought it. Where were you all my life? Thanks Synthtopia. It’s easy and complex at the same time. Intuitive and absorbing.
