Reader Andrew Tarpinian (Modular Gray) shared this audio demo of one of the first Moog Minimoog Model D synthesizers manufactured in 35 years.
Tarpinian says the Minimoog is #10 of the new run, purchased at Moogfest 2016. He says the video is not intended to be a musical performance or full demo, but to demonstrate the sound of the new synth.
Moog reintroduced the Minimoog Model D at Moogfest, held May 19-22, 2016 in Durham, NC. The company is using ‘new old stock’ parts to build it, with the goal of making it sound like a new vintage Minimoog.
