AudioThing has introduced Space Strip – a multi-effect plugin, featuring 6 modules: Contour, Vibe, Slapback, Ambience, Ensemble, and Stereo.
The modules can be arranged in any combination by drag-n-drop. Space Strip is designed to add depth and space to your sounds, especially synth and keyboards.
The plugin is also designed to be lightweight on the CPU.

Don’t get the whole modular marketing is no more modular then how you can already adjust the Fx order in ableton, logic, etc.
That’s a clean, simple interface. 6 effects in serial- with only 2 or 3 parameters per effect.
Even as I am getting older and learn new apps less easily, I still don’t want simple UI’s. I am more often frustrated at a lack of controls than I am at not being able to understand a complex UI. So this particular plugin isn’t marketed to me.
I think what has been lacking in effects for DAWs is a more modular approach to routing. I.e.,We need to ability to create a more freely routable effects with combinations of parallel and serial paths– with configurable send/returns, splitters and mixers along the path. This plug is strictly linear.
As RobotBoot said, this isn’t different from just having 6 inserts in a row– which we already had. Though clearly this does make that a little easier.
