This video, via sircut1200, introduces Syntablism, which he describes as ‘the art of using a turntable as a musical instrument to create and/or manipulate sound with a modular synthesizer.’
Here’s a technical overview of his Syntablism setup:
Check it out and let us know what you think of the concept of Syntablism!
Cool!
1) this is really cool!
2) it seems overly complicated. If the turntables are just sending constant pitch, why not just use a midi cc to cv… Less moving parts and less error prone…
Cool to see new/interesting stuff like this though!
very neat but the result didn’t really do anything for me unfortunately
Turnatabilism? 😉
Thatsa whata they call it in Italy!
Seems like a nice concept but this video didn’t really do much for it. Don’t get me wrong I like it but it just wasn’t much.
file under, “I did it because I could, not because it was a particularly good idea”
🙂
What do you mean? Sounded pretty badass really.
Was it just me that started singing Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” along with the first video?
