Sunday Synth Jam: Programmer & synthesist Geert Bevin shared this video, capturing his live performance of his song Sample Place Again on the new Roger Linn Design LinnStrument 128.
Bevin is the principal developer of the firmware for the LinnStrument, and authored the Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE) specification.
Technical Details:
LinnStrument 128 controlling Pianoteq 5 and Omnisphere 2.
Thanks Geert for the new Sequencer update. Digging it.
You’re very welcome Scott, glad you’re enjoying it! 🙂
Wow. This would pair well with my roli. Great job!
Thanks Armando, they complement each other very nicely indeed and Equator responds very well to LinnStrument input also.
would love to see some more demos with hardware synths
I did one with the Parva not very long ago, and the Mother 32 before that. Been getting to grips with a series of Makenoise modules I bought, but I think it’s going to be quite a few months before I feel satisfied with the results.
I so admire your keen programming on this device. its rock solid!
Thanks a lot Greg! 🙂
The intro reminds me heavily of one of the main themes used on the show Dexter. Nice music and demo.
Thanks Robots! 🙂
Geert, in the past year your video’s have propelled me to obtain the Linnstrument, an iPad pro for the Mod 15 and Animoog update, and a Mother 32, and Logic. Can’t really afford more gear at this point, but your video’s are always compelling and good. What software instruments are you using here? Where to focus with limited time and resources?
Appears to be Pianoteq 5 and Omnisphere 2
Thanks Bob, glad to hear that you’ve been enjoying my videos. Like Armando says, I’m using Pianoteq 5 and Omnisphere 2 in this video.
Nice!
Thanks Chris! 🙂
