Mixvibes has updated Cross DJ + Remixlive for Android and Cross, Cross DJ + Remixlive for Mac/PC.
Mac, PC, Android and iOS users can now make music together by syncing Cross and Remixlive over a simple WiFi connexion. In addition, desktop and Android products get many improvements, while Cross DJ for Mac brings Syphon video routing.
The update brings:
- Ableton Link integration for Android and Mac/PC. The technology is now rolled out across all Mixvibes’ products, so you can play together regardless of your OS or device.
- Cross Mac: Syphon integration, providing for endless video mixing possibilities.
- Cross DJ Mac/PC: Pioneer DDJ-SB 2 + Reloop Mixtour support.
- Remixlive Mac/PC: 3 new features (Autopilot, All-stop, MIDI recording) and mappings (Novation Launchpad MK2, Akai APC Mini, Livid Instruments Base 2).
Syphon integration
The 64-bit version of Cross for Mac now integrates Syphon, a technology that sends the video output of one application to another in real time. You can, for example, create a video mix in Cross and at the same time use a second app to apply additional visual effects, or even map the output to a surface. To activate Syphon, go to settings and activate it in the Video tab.

actually the cross dj app is cool, just be carefull with the sound cloud streaming, memory disappears as it caches up
i have the cross dj app on my nexus, works really good but dont have this soundcloud issue… anyway that’s a cool release, remixlive is dope as hell (quite a deep app)
This takes DJing to the next level, I didn’t use the first Link integration on Cross DJ cause I only have one iOS device but now that I can hook my phone up to my macbook its lit
