The Sound Globe, designed by Takumi Ogata, is a custom-built digital instrument that maps the rotational speed of an orb to musical dynamics.

Ogata uses a Hall sense to capture the rotation speed of the orb controller and a ribbon to control pitch. Software used includes Arduino IDE, Max/MSP, and Rhinoceros.
