Aphex Twin (Richard D. James) played his first US gig in 8 years last weekend at Houston’s Day For Night festival – and dropped a new EP while he was there.
There’s no title on the EP and there’s no announcement about it yet – but you can preview the new tracks below:

sounds like mid 90s aphex twin… oddly enough gabba is making a come back so he should fit right in
i was at the show. it was really good until the temp dropped 40 degrees and it started raining. It was very hard and not as melodic and dynamic as some of my favorite stuff by him, but good anyway.

I taped some cardboard strips to the blades of my desk fan and turned it on. It had about the same musical quality.
That sounds like an interesting sound design experiment. Good for you for being willing to step outside of your comfort zone and try something different.
