At the 2017 NAMM Show, Make Noise introduced their latest Eurorack module, the Soundhack Morphogene.
Here’s an overview and demo of the new Morphogene from the NAMM Show floor.
The Morphogene is expected to ship in March, priced around US $529. Detailed specifications are to be announced.
Looks fun, but way overpriced (even by Eurorack standards) – you can get the new elektron Digitakt for about the same or a 12 voice analogue polly synth for a few hundred more….time are changing, we want innovation and value!
smh. comparing apples to oranges. the price isn’t that much different than the phonogene ($1), and it’s less expensive than an er-301, but to assume this is a sampler completely misses the point.
CV control is key here, you can record on rack audio and manipulate it with CV and knob control. That is big. Why would you compare this to the Digitakt?! isn’t even close!
It’s MorphAgene…
Cue the clowns…
Does it do 1V/oct stretch/pitch shifting? That’s the one thing missing on the phonogene
