We talked with Bitwig’s Claes Johanson, who gave us sneak preview of the new release.
Bitwig Studio 2.0 features 24 brand new modulators, new devices, improved hardware integration, VST3 Support, device updates, an improved interface and more.
Bitwig was also demonstrating their DAW controlling a Eurorack modular synthesizer, synchronized via the new Bastl Klik audio click to modular clock converter.

You forgot to say Bitwig changed to a ridiculous subscription model now.
Yeah particularly basic things like the cross fading should’ve been part of an update for 1.x a long while ago.
Waaaaaayyyyy over priced… especially since you apparently don’t actually “own” it.
You are exaggerating, badly.
You own the software but you only get included updates for the first year after purchase. After that, you buy another year of updates when you think you need it for about 50% of the sticker price.
Not great. Not terrible.

Very poor update and very expensive.
Gee, sure glad i paid full DAW price for my 1.0 beta Bitwig.
App update/rental… I’ll pass, permanently.
