Paul Schreiber of Synthesis Technology has launched a Kickstarter project to fund production of his new E370 Quad Morphing VCO – a ginormous Eurorack 4-oscillator module that builds upon his earlier digital VCO modules. He calls it ‘the most technically advanced Euro oscillator available”.
The E370 Quad Morphing VCO is a DSP-based, quad oscillator Eurorack module. It uses improved algorithms from the E350 Morphing Terrarium, the E340 Cloud Generator and the E330 Multi-Mode VCO.
The quad oscillator features wavetables, cloud oscillators, FM and LFO options and more.
The four VCOs can be individually controlled, used in a set of two pairs, or ganged in “Unison”. A full-color TFT display is used in a ‘shallow depth’ menu system and can show each VCO’s output in real-time (oscilloscope mode). A micro-SD card slot allows users to load in their own custom wavetables and to save & load presets into the E370.

Pricing and Availability
The E370 Quad Morphing VCO is available to project backers for US $879, with an expected delivery target of Nov 2017. The project has already met its funding target.
I’m amazed at how fast this project was funded, especially considering how large and expensive it is. Nice job Synth Tech.
in one hour
Loving what I hear. Damn this is good!
People always talk about the “infinite possibilities” of Eurorack, but the vast majority of modules are just retreads and rehashed designs. This, on the other hand, is a module that just demands to make interesting music. Congrats to Paul for creating this beast.
I have spent hours on ModularGrid trying to figure out who to kick off the island for this beast, and have reluctantly come to the conclusion that I need a new case.
Jeepers, now that is a monster osc!!!!
FYI: The project creator (Paul Schreiber) has issued an FAQ as follows.
“Quick FAQ about the E370 Kickstarter.
Q: Are you going to run more boards later?
A: No. This is a 1-and-done production run.
Q: Now that it’s funded, is it too late to order?
A: No, just the single unit “Early Birds” are sold out. That was limited to 75 people. The standard price module are *unlimited* in the number I can offer. Just the time to buy is limited to the end of the campaign.
Q: Will the E370 run on +-15V?
A: Yes, there is a footprint for a standard MOTM 4-pin power connector. The connector is not soldered in. The DIY option has it soldered in.
Q: I can’t pledge right now. Any chance to get one later?
A: I always make extra board sets for yield issues. I will have a few (usually around 8-12) units available in Jan 2018 for $929ea + shipping. But when these are gone, the E370 enters “vintage” status.
Thanks for the massive support and encouragement. Please PM or comment on the page if you have other questions.”
So, looks like if you want one of these, now is the time.
Oh wow! Thanks for the heads up then this is definitely going to be the first piece I buy into the eurorack world.
Armando, that’s an excellent idea.
Done, I backed 2 of them. I couldn’t pass up the chance of having 8 voices. Now I need to build the rest of this beast.
way too big for my rig.
Yeah 🙁
Surprised no one has complained about a $900 osc. This thing looks amazing but 54 hp is too much real estate for me. (Btw $900 seems totally reasonable for this especially since it’ll be so limited)
Well it is actually 4 oscs with lots of features to morph and combine them. Not too much or too large for that.
Yeah – and the people that are going to buy something like this know that just one of SynthTech’s Morphing Terrarium oscillators costs $400 – and this will be like four of those, but on steroids.
He just added a bunch more stretch goals, including through-zero at $180K. We just need 50 more pledges…
Less than 25k away now! Hope we get it.
