I wonder if my mouse pad is “ableton link” compatible?
Ok. So this is the exact same “joke?” you posted a week ago on the VJ App CoGe article: https://www.synthtopia.com/content/2017/02/20/vj-app-coge-updated-with-ableton-link-support/#comments
WTF is the significance? How is it “supposed to be” funny?
You might as well say “First Comment, I win!!”
*shakes head
Haha
actually picking on this big growing movement of “ableton link” compatibility which sounds nice
BUT
exactly how much is this program?
just like these for for MAX but they don’t say in headline that
NOW
audiobus, core midi , au, vst, or basic function with thing many may have sounds better to me
I just think that this mad rush to make it work with a program that not everyone will buy (money being the operative word) may be becoming an overdone thing
Kinda like this apple compatibility in all new devices, cars etc , yeah its nice, but how do you think it makes the non apple user
Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill!
Ableton Link is a STANDARD that lots of companies support because it’s VERY USEFUL.
There’s nothing extra that you have to buy. It’s like MIDI support.
And it’s free for developers to support, too.
So there’s no downside to apps supporting it, but it offers a lot of benefits.
THAT’S why you see lots of apps supporting it, nowadays – it’s a very desirable feature!
probably is and not so much being there, just starting to getting all these ap updates that say “adding ableton link” and it is starting to become like a tag line like “4 out 5 dentist”
I think itr starting to become something on edge of annoying if it is the only news
Now this program here does look good, problem is i don’t have a mac, maybe mixvibes make an IOS version
By the ways that mouse-pad tag comes from another annoying thing i have seen for years ” a mouse-pad that is compatible with wndows whatever” saw it way back in windows 95 days
Ableton Link support is super-useful in the world of iOS music making even if you don’t use Ableton Live. It’s almost a given that eventually any new app that needs tempo/syncing capabilities should include it if it’s going to be taken seriously. It’s not about Ableton products at all.
the one ability I would love to see next with all aps
KEYSYNC
in others words all music makers are in same key so it sounds good
by the ways only thing i know that is cool about ableton is the launchpad
“exactly how much is this program?” – um it says at the end of the article
“Remixvideo is available now for US $99.99 in the Mac App Store.”
JMO, but for me and the work I do, the more options to make the tools/software I use work together is always better than incompatibility.
bill may work for bitwig haha
no i don’t
my real job is in wastewater, yeap i got a sh,, job
