Organizers of ContinuuCon, the Second International Haken Continuum Fingerboard Conference, sent a reminder that anyone who purchases an event ticket by April 30 can do so at “a substantial discount,” with tickets priced at $175 during the month of April and $250 thereafter.
ContinuuCon will take place at the University of North Carolina in Asheville on June 8–10, 2017, to celebrate the Haken Continuum Fingerboard, a groundbreaking electronic musical instrument. The event will include two days of talks, workshops, and demonstrations, with an opening reception, a catered dinner, and concludes with an evening concert that is open to the public.
Among the presenters and performers are Dr. Lippold Haken, the Continuum’s designer; Ed Eagan, developer of the Continuum’s synthesis engine EaganMatrix; world-renowned multi-instrumentalist Rob Schwimmer; French software developer Christophe Duquesne; Finnish software developer Benedict Slotte; and Dr. Wayne Kirby, music professor at UNCA. Topics will include playing and programming techniques, new versiosion 8 capabilities, EaganMatrix effects design, Eurorack CV interfacing, physical modeling, and much more.
Tickets and more information are available on the ContinuuCon website.
I’m looking forward to seeing Evaton Technologies new Eurorack Continuum CV interface in action at ContinuuCon
