This vintage 80’s video captures an improvisation by Vangelis, in his London-based Nemo Studios.
Nemo Studios was where Vangelis did much of his best-known work, including Heaven and Hell, China, Opera Sauvage, Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner.
The video demonstrates how Vangelis used a variety of synths to improvise music with full electronic orchestrations.
Very cool. This really explain show it gets those long glissando sounds…..using that huge pitch strip on the CS-80. Nice find.
The thing to take away is :
see every note, sequence Vangelis plays has intention.
Epic! Vangelis at his best
beautiful..
“This funky tune has resurrected Panos like the Christ”…
epic
Not a Lexicon 480, it’s the 224.
