At Knobcon 2017, SYINSI introduced a compact 1U modular synthesizer system.
We talked with SYINSI’s Mark Pitcher, who gave us an overview and demo of his 1U modular synthesizer.
For more information on the 1U modular tile case and 1U modular tile modules, see the SYINSI site.
Nice work Mark!
it’s SYINSI (you’re missing the i)
Thanks for the feedback. Fixed!
I think this is really cool.
It’s about time. People have been complaining for years about the Eurorack format being much too large.
Too bad not all companies keep their eye on the ball: Roland most notably.
I wonder when they will realize their Boutique range machines are simply too huge, and no ordinary man can twist their sequoia-trunk sized knobs.
We all know there is much Roland bashing on Synthtopia already, and I don’t want add fuel to the fire, but honestly, why is it Korg can manufacture a 86% sized MS-20 & Arp Odyssey, and Roland are sleeping on 68% sized Boutiques?
Someone tell them this stuff will fly off shelves!
“1U modular” and “compact” in one sentence … case … LOL
Not realizing that 1U tiles are usually used in large Euro systems, and the video shows this….lol
