Has anyone heard/got any demos where the Monologue sounds mellow? Always sounds raw and raucous to my ears, which is fine if that’s what you want.
That’s kind of the korg analog synth sound if I’m not mistaken. The price point keeps me interested but I’m considering dreadbox and electron
Hmm. That actually sounds like a fun challenge!
I’m going to try to do a more mellow, maybe ambient jam on the Monologue and see if it’s worth posting.
Just an eight-bar beat for now but this is all Monologue + 808 samples + reverb: https://allihoopa.com/s/RAyCJjpG
Nice one!
The minilogue can sound mellow but you have to get used to it first. With the monologue I spend 2 weeks trying to sound mellow but it only sounded harsh or flat.
I made a song that was all Monologue (even the drums). It’s not super mellow, but there are some more “relaxed” sounds in there.
I think the comment about “the Korg analog sound” is fair, they tend towards being a little more raw, especially with that filter design. Definitely not a criticism – I think it’s cool that synths have a “family character”. There’s a reason why people might own a Minimoog and an MS20 – That’s part of the fun of exploring synths!
Thanks to everyone checking out the patch pack!
