This video, via RetroSound, takes a look at the Polivoks duophonic analog synthesizer, a vintage synth made in the USSR (1982-1990).
The Polivoks was designed by Vladimir Kuzmin and produced at the Formanta Radio Factory in Kachkanar. It features 2 VCOs, FM, 2 ADSR, Glide, 2 LFOs and an ADSR with loop function.
If you’ve used the Polivoks, leave a comment and share your thoughts on it!
When I read “FM” and “duophonic”, I was intrigued…but I guess maybe in a future demo?
Can Behringer make a Polivoks clone so I don’t have to pay $2K+ for a reissue?
You will pay half for the original…
Its a great synth, filter screams, I really like mine
The Retrosound guy has a million synths so why does every video sound the same?
Are your ears ok? ?
Post a link to your synth videos and we will compare. ?
This is a cool video, for sure… However, it can’t compare to the Polivoks demo video by WC OLO GARB. If you haven’t seen his demos, please check them out.
+1
His videos are bad ass!
Fantastic demo. Shows the unique sound. I ever wanted a Polivoks. Now I will grab the PV clone.
