Organizers of Moogfest 2018, scheduled for May 17-20 in Durham, NC, are making their first round of announcements about the festival lineup via a 50-hour long streaming event, Always On.
The livestream kicks off Wed Dec 6 at 12pm ET, with a different artist performing each hour, and concludes on December 8th at 2pm EST. You can view Always On via the embed above or via the event site.
The first round of announcements focuses on female, transgender and non-binary artists in the event’s lineup. Organizers say that the event will ‘give a spotlight to the many pioneers and modern experimentalists who are often underrepresented in many music spaces’.

Organizers say that ‘Moogfest is the synthesis of music, art and technology.’ The event has had several incarnations, evolving from a single-evening celebration of well-known Moog players to a festival with a broader focus.
