At the 2018 NAMM Show, we talked with Radikal Technologies’ Jorg Schaaf, who gave us an overview and demo of his new Delta Cep A semimodular synthesizer.
The Delta Cep A features a MIDI to CV Interface, oscillators, filters, LFO, envelope generator, mixer, VCA, an effects section and even a memory sequencer/interpolator for new sound FXs. It’s designed to be used standalone, or as part of a Eurorack modular synthesizer.
See the Radikal site for more details.
Sounds amazing.
$999/899 euro, Juno 2018. A little pricier than some of the other semi-modulars out there but holy chords batman.
Agreed.
A couple hundred bucks more than some of the others Eurock voices, but this sounds amazing and does so much more.
This or the Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt?
Hey companies welcome to this years NAMM. Quick poll, could all the companies who will NOT be debuting a semi-modular monosynth this week please raise their hands. Hm. Anyone? Anyone? Yes, you there, you are not debuting a monosynth? What’s that? Oh, you are debuting a monosynth but you’re raising your hand for permission to go to the bathroom. It’s fine, you don’t have to ask. Anyone else? Surely there is someone here who is not debuting a semi-modular monosynth. Last chance. Anyone? No one? Well. OK then.
In all fairness, Roland debuted nothing. So there’s that.
Hey I want to make and release my own semi-modular monosynth too!!! If all of these monosynth’s don’t bring in the newbs to eurorack by the millions, nothing will!?!?!?!
Sounds amazing in person.
