The latest loopop video is an audio demo of the new Moog Subharmonicon, which is a limited-edition Eurorack synth module introduced at Moogfest 2018.
The Subharmonicon is currently only available to Moogfest attendees that sprung for the $1,500+ Engineer VIP ticket. Moog has not made any announcement about their intentions on making this more widely available, but previous Engineer VIP projects, the Werkstatt & the DFAM, eventually made it to the company’s standard product line.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
Sounds certainly interesting as a timbral, not necessarily subtractive filter, way of working. A Moog without a ladder F! Hope to hear and see more of this.
Sorry, but it sounds same all same all…
Love MOOG and and all, but it seems like recycling old other and other again in different form factors
Always good to hear a synth demo by someone that likes beautiful sound.
Anybody can make a synth sound ugly or noisy – but you have to know what you’re doing to make one sound beautiful.
Can’t wait for more details and demos!
well that sounds really really nice. Moog is finally interested in harmony. 😉
Moogs answer to the Neutron? I like the sound.
Are you trying to make a joke?
Don’t worry, you’ll get better with practice.
You know, this sounds pretty great.
I just thought the kayout looked similar.
Moog originated the style with the Mother 32. In the last two years, though, a bunch of companies (Behringer, Percussa, Synthesis Technology, etc) have created modules in the same style.
sounds amazing, i hope this one makes it to production.
Moog are really making their mark on eurorack.
Prob didnt remember because I did not like the mother 32 much…but I love the Grandmother.
