Organizer Nils Hilbricht has announced that the second annual Sonoj Convention will be held October 27th-28th, 2018, in Cologne, Germany.
The Sonoj Convention focuses on the combination of music production and open source software, with an emphasis on practical music production.
The event will feature talks, demonstrations, and workshops – from demonstrating basic workflows to detailed instructions on how to improve your sound. While the event will take place in Germany, all presentations and workshops will be in English.
Hilbricht says that the presentations will also be filmed and streamed, to make them easily accessible to a wide audience. “We want to welcome everyone, regardless of your musical or technical background,” he notes.
Admission to the convention is free, though donations are welcome. You can find out more information and register at the event site.
Organizers are also soliciting ideas for talks, demonstrations and workshops. If you’re interested in presenting, you can contact them via the event site.
