Multi-instrumentalist Ace Waters shared this video song style cover of Adagio In D Minor.
The track was originally written by composer John Murphy for the Sunshine soundtrack, but has been used on many other projects and has a life of its own outside the original soundtrack.
“Finally watched Sunshine the other day, and when I got to this song my first thought was ‘Where have I heard this before?'” notes Waters. “I later found out – everywhere. This song has been in several films, commercials and trailers since it first came out for the OST for Sunshine.”
“PS: If you haven’t seen the movie Sunshine, you should,” he adds. “It’s a bleak space thriller/science fiction film about blowing up the sun. This song was right in my wheelhouse, so I just extended the builds and made it 9 minutes long.”
Great cover of an awe-inspiring song! Bravo. Like many of ludovico einaudi’s songs, this too has graced many adverts and TV shows, the world loves an emotional score with pianos and reverb it seems! The song was a collaboration between electronic band Underworld and John Murphy
