Analogue Solutions shared this preview of the Generator, an upcoming multi-channel analog step sequencer.
The Generator is designed for hands-on sequence control, with a ‘WYSIWYG’ front panel and a large array of controls.
The video demonstrates transposition using Voltage Generator touch pads, and live use of loop points. Generator is playing the Treadstone analogue synth, also by Analogue Solutions.
Generator is expected to be available in September 2018. See the AS site for details.
this looks great but why on earth no midi out
Because they want to miss out on a few hundred extra units sold. 😉
Agreed. Knobtastic as hell, but MIDI out would seem to add a lot of versatility in different setups…
…because they don’t know how to design and write software. They’ve never had a product with an MCU or DAC or any sort of digital control. The guy basically borrows from old analog schematics.
if it had no midi at all i woud get it – but a midi in on a sequencer device without midi out – um??
Could be awesome with a dfam setup
Not sure what is going on with the LEDs on the ‘B’ row. Some blink on, some off, and the third one lights dim some times. Maybe just ironing out bugs or maybe some feature?
