Noise Engineering has released two new modules in 5U format, the Manis Iteritas Magnus & the Basimilus Iteritas Magnus.
Both modules are large-format versions of modules previously released for Eurorack synthesizers:
- Manis Iteritas Magnus is a voice based on the architecture of Basimilus Iteritas, but designed to be more gritty and aggressive. It accomplishes this by using only sawtooth waves that are manipulated, modulated, and distorted through a rethought interface.Manis is suitable for leads, bass lines, drums, darkness, detuned madness, or pure mayhem.
- The Basimilus Iteritas Magnus is described as ‘a simple six-oscillator additive synthesizer’, with adjustable waveform, harmonic spread and decay.Adjustable attack including a noise oscillator is also included. These are summed and fed into an infinifolder, ‘for crunch and variety’.
Pricing and Availability
Both modules have a release price of US $355 (normally $444). Details are available at the Noise Engineering site.
I would like to hear some good musical demos of both of these modules.
I am not against higher-priced modules, but I like to see them in action.
