New Muscarin Analog Semi-Modular Synthesizer Good For ‘Weird & Very Weird Sounds’

Danila Mikhaylin (kNoB technology) has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to fund production of the Muscarin analog semi-modular synthesizer.

The Muscarin synthesizer is designed to be a noise drone instrument, for the synthesis of both ‘weird and very weird sounds’.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

The Muscarin is an analog music synthesizer with analog and touch controls, that has everything that’s needed for creating music and synthesis of sounds.

Designed by kNoB technology, it is based on cross-modulation technology. It is designed as semi-modular and can be used by its own, or as a part of the eurorack system.

It is made for generating standard sounds and sound effects, as well as for extremely changing their sound while playing, converting it too complex structured noises. It has full manual hands-on controls (switches and knobs), as well as it can be controlled by CV (control voltage).

Here’s an overview of the Muscarin:

Pricing and Availability

Production of the Muscarin synthesizer is being funded via an IndieGoGo campaign, and it is available to project backers starting at US $320.

  1. It sounds like when I run the Sharper Image noise machine I bought at Goodwill through the Ext. In on my Moog.

Is that what it is, is basically noise run through a series of filters, LFO’s and envelopes?
