The basic instrument is a free download, and offers three sounds: Flute, Clarinet & Sax. Additional Mellotron sounds are available as in-app purchases.

Press “restore purchases” and get the upgrade for free. I tried to contact the developer to let them know about this obvious error but I couldn’t find an easy way to reach them from their website. Maybe I’ll try their social.
Much appreciated! I can finally delete M3000’s free version. The sounds are excellent and the UI is pretty nice. Please do not tell the developers: and if you do, there’s no way I’m gonna upgrade the app anytime soon, at that point hahahaha.

This is going to put real Mellotron players out of business!
It’s more like “This will take the Mellotron business out of players!”
The traditional Mellotron’s market collapsed when digital sampling became available. At least we can still emulate and enjoy those old contraptions without all the maintenance and unwanted distractions of ownership.
