Lenco has introduced the Lenco-MD turntable, a new design that lets you 3D print a modular turntable.
It’s designed for you to build it yourself, and they say that it’s modular, feature-rich, upgradeable and offers great audio quality. You 3D print the body of the Lenco-MD turntable at home with your 3D printer, and then add hardware parts (belt, pulley, motor, etc).
The first prototype, world’s first professional 3D printed turntable, will be on display at the IFA Berlin 2018.
It’s being funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Details are available at the project site.
boy! that’s that strangest synthesizer that i’ve seen all day.
You’d think their own demo video wouldn’t show the platen wobbling like that. Not confidence-inspiring.
