ProjectSAM has released a free sample library, dedicated to orchestral hits, Tutti Hits.

It’s part of a new project, The Free Orchestra:

“Every last Thursday of the month, starting today, we’re releasing a new, inspiring sample set, taken directly from our extensive, cinematic catalogue. Free for the composer community to download and use!

We’re kicking off The Free Orchestra series with a light-weight, yet thundering, set of orchestral Tutti Hits. A collection of col legno hits, full orchestra stabs, low brass clusters and horn rips, ready to be used in your very next action, ghost or horror score.

The samples were taken from the legendary Symphobia recordings.”

Note: Full version of Kontakt is required to use the dedicated virtual instrument. Tutti Hits comes with a 44.1 kHz/24 bit open sample pool, though, which means that you can directly access the wave files and use them on any platform that can handle wave files.
