Pricing and Availability
The Iconic Sounds Of Vangelis For Roland System-8 is available with an intro price of 14,00 € (normally 19,00 €).
…and once again I see confirmed that the “sound” of Vangelis is not so much the actual sound, but mostly the musicality he uses to ‘play’ with that sound. Elaborating on this I just wonder: if Vangelis would have played the Bladerunner soundtrack on some cheap Casio instead of yamaha CS-80, would it have made any difference? I mean: it would (probably) still be a masterpiece.

Love the System 8. Stoked on these patches, as I am a Vangelis fan. I just don’t, personally, see the need for these. They don’t seem like they would be useful for the music I currently make, but would be fun to jam around with. 🙂
i love my S8 too, agreed… fun times messing around
The more demos i see the more i am convinced that the System 8 is one of the best sounding synths today. The blasphemy! A digital synth that sounds good!
