Developer Kai Aras has released ‘a rather juicy update’ for the KB-1 Keyboard Suite – adding iPhone support, new layouts and more.
Here’s what’s new:
- Universal App: KB-1 now supports both, iPhone and iPad without requiring an additional purchase.
- New Layouts: 3 new Layouts have been added including
- Drum: with up to 16 user mappable drum pads, velocity and a roll feature.
- XY: either 1 or 2 individually configurable XY-pads with different modes (CC, Note, Wheels).
- CC: up to 16 user mappable knobs for sending out MIDI control change events.
- Performance Controls: in addition to the classic mod- and pitch-wheel, 2 new controls have been added
- XY-Pad with assignable CC controls.
- Strum for strumming chords.
- Chord Layout now supports additional chords (5ths, 6ths, 7ths) and the Strum control.
- User Interface has been optimized for easier access to the most important settings as well as better readability and improved performance.
- MPE settings have been extended with a number of options.
