Elektron has come out with a new machine. It’s a sample instrument. And it’s a bit more accessible than their other machines. To say that this is geared towards newcomers I’d say is pretty much accurate. But an Elektron newcomer might be expected to have prior experience in at least something. It helps to understand the concept of patterns, sequencers, parameters, tracks..
The Elektron depth is still there to a great extent. But it’s simpler to get started with it, and easier to get to the depths.
All in all I like it. It’s fast, and fun.
Is the “function/reload” feature dependent on when you press it or does it finish its cycle first before reverting back to original pattern?
It reverts the moment that you press reload. Though you could copy the whole patten to another slot and then switch over. That occurs at the end of a bar.

I still prefer the TE OP-Z. A little bit more money, but totally worth it imo.
