Organizers of SynthPlex have announced that composer Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, will keynote the event, scheduled for March 28-31 in the Los Angeles area.
They’ve also posted the schedule for the three day event on the SynthPlex site, which will feature exhibits, seminars, a synth museum, live performances and more.
Holkenborg started his career doing production and remixing, but is now best known as a soundtrack composer. His recent work includes soundtracks for Mad Max: Fury Road, DeadPool and Alita: Battle Angel. His session will be moderated by journalist Byron Burton. Holkenborg has also released a extensive series of Youtube videos, offering insight into his gear, process and work.
In addition to Holkenborg, SynthPlex will feature composer Harold Faltermeyer, Thomas Dolby, Mark Isham, Michael Abels, Allee Willis, Dave Smith, Craig Anderton, Shelly Peiken, Russell Brower, Michael Lehmann Boddicker and Germaine Franco.

This guy is living the dream and is at the top of his game.
And what does he do with his spare time? He shares his knowledge for free on YouTube.
That’s a class act.
Looks like a lot of fun. Maybe next year for me. Too many personal obligations this year. 🙁
Hopefully we’ll get to hear him talk about “arpeggerators”?
Is this an event for wealthy musicians?
tickets are $22 and its open to anyone who is interested.
It looks like the $22 ticket is an “add on” only valid for the Synth Museum. The cheapest ticket for the actual event is $50, almost $60 when you add online fees.
Then you’ve answered your own question… the event is for people who have $60 and time to spare.
i don’t know how he finds the time to do all the things he does. he’s a rock star.
